Brit - those are Mallards. The male is the white one. He's not a true albino I don't think, since his eyes are not white, but the pure white feathering must be some sort of genetic anomaly. Quite striking, I thought. The other mallards didn't seem to notice he was any different.

Well, it wouldn't be spring without ducklings. These were the only ones we could find in the whole sanctuary. The weather has been so cold this year that everything is delayed... including chicks!!!

A first for us was an up close and personal meeting with a pair of Gadwalls. The male makes a hilarious honking sound - we thought he was half goose! :snicker:
